KAKAO is a conceptual chocolate brand created for artists and wanderers, designed to merge indulgence with exploration. Developed by Alaina Randazzo at the Fashion Institute of Technology, the project combined illustration, brand storytelling, and media strategy. Alaina illustrated custom packaging inspired by her most formative travel landscapes, including Death Valley, New York City, and the coastline near Laguna Beach. Each design reflected a different emotional terrain, positioning the product as both a creative companion and a symbol of adventure. Beyond visual identity, she developed a full media campaign targeting culturally curious, travel driven consumers. The brand narrative centered on wanderlust, artistry, and the idea that inspiration can be found in every landscape. This in class project explored the intersection of branding, illustration, and audience positioning, reinforcing Alaina’s early interest in building immersive, story led consumer experiences.
